1. Information We Collect

We collect information that you provide to us directly, as well as information automatically collected when you use our services.

1.1 Personal Data You Provide:

  • Account Information: When you create an account, we collect your email address and a password.
  • Profile Information: You may choose to provide additional information for your public profile, such as your first name, avatar URL, bio, testimony, interests, and lifestyle.

1.2 Automatically Collected Information:

  • Usage Data: We collect information about your interactions with the platform, such as features used and time spent on the app.
  • Device Information: We may collect information about the device you use to access our services, including hardware model, operating system, and unique device identifiers.
  • Log Data: Our servers automatically record information that your browser sends whenever you visit our service.

1.3 Location Information (For Nearby Users Notification System):

  • Precision Location Data: With your explicit consent, we collect your precise geographical location (latitude and longitude) through your device's GPS or browser's Geolocation API. This data is collected periodically while you are using the application and have granted permission.
  • Purpose: This location data is used solely for the purpose of enabling the "Nearby Users Notification System," which alerts you when other users are within a specified radius (e.g., 5 miles) of your current location. This enhances community interaction by making you aware of nearby connections.
  • Storage: Your precise location data is stored in our user_locations database table. We also store your preferences regarding nearby notifications (whether enabled and preferred radius) in the notification_preferences table.
  • Control: You have full control over location sharing and nearby notifications. You can enable or disable location sharing and manage your notification preferences at any time through the application settings. If you deny location access, the nearby users notification functionality will be disabled.

  • To improve, personalize, and expand our services.
  • To understand and analyze how you use our services.

  • Service Providers: We may share your data with third-party vendors, service providers, contractors, or agents who perform services for us or on our behalf.
